This week we redid our studio space, upstairs. We found a small old dresser at a thrift store in Michigan last time we were there.  We used that for one side of the desk.  For the other side, we used some old metal legs we found. They are the the perfect color of rust.  A green patina look, that only comes with age.  Stripping the dresser down from it’s original white color turned out to be a lot harder than we imagined.  It was a great learning experience.  The light color wood that turned up after the paint was stripped away, we covered up with a darker stain.  Dan and I worked really hard on making it perfect.  I love the way it turned out.

We also added lots of new items to the shop.  Head over and check it out. Especially if you love dollhouse furniture.

Tomorrow is our 2nd, 2nd Friday!  We did some rearranging and added quite a few new products to the store front & our etsy shop.

Dan made this really dope wooden ladder shelf! We will be adding it to the shop early next week.

If you are around and live in Chicago, please come visit us between 6-10pm at 1837 S. Halsted St.  We will be serving a warm whisky drink.

We had such a lovely time spending the holidays with our family and friends. Dan & I went to Michigan for the 2nd half of Christmas and decided to do a little hunting while we were there.   It ended up being a very successful hunt and we can’t wait to update our shop with new items over the next week or so.

After spending time with Dan’s family for Thanksgiving, we drove over to Michigan to visit mine. Went vintage searching for a bit and visited some friends on their farm. That place is a dream, one day I want to live on a farm just like that.

We know it’s a little early, but we decided to Christmafy our window display. A make shift fireplace made from a reclaimed mantel along with a vintage crackling log set. Oh the sounds of fake burning wood!
